As part of an ongoing contract Michael provides technical support for the test and production financial systems of Budgens Stores. This role includes routine server and database maintenance and management of over night batch processing and backup scheduling. Michael answers any queries and resolves technical issues as they arise. Much of the maintenance work is undertaken out of business hours and on weekends to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Part of this role includes the technical documentation of systems and their dependencies and an annual review of how the systems perform highlight potential problems what could affect mission critical systems.
